nice I love this album so much. To me it's surrendering to chaos and being guided and lots of deep breaths and raindrops and cityscapes. This self-released album from NPNP is a collection of works compiled over 2 years that were amassed during the first Covid lock down.
'I see you go' thrusts the listener into a dystopian narrative while grounding us in the comfort and warmth of analogue tape and vinyl textures. Swelling sine-tones ride along with free-jazz saxophone subtleties while delicate bells clash with fm synth pulses. Katie McDonald's processed voice guides us through this journey as an intercom-armed propagandist that urges us to question how we engage with the passing of time and why?
